When a young violence counselor's spirit is challenged by a brutally assaulted woman, the situation becomes personal as the line between client and counselor is blurred.

Samantha is an unassuming young woman, a volunteer counselor for victims of rape and sexual assault. Now, faced with one of her first clients, she finds herself tormented by the memory and effects of her own horrific experience. She struggles under the watchful eye of a callous nurse who perceives Samantha’s weakness and has little faith in her abilities. As the situation becomes personal for Samantha, her spirit is tested and the line between client and counselor is blurred.

Broken is a study of emotional communication and how individuals must react differently for the sake of their own survival—and subsequent spiritual recovery.
